Her average headache severity was a six, with her worst pain at a ten on a zero to ten pain scale, with three of her worst headaches per week, which often included light and sound sensitivity, nausea and vomiting. Tracy S. joins the countless others who have discovered that their headache and migraine symptoms, as well as related symptoms, can be eliminated through treatment of their neck. Tracy remembers having her first severe headaches in the eighth grade. Before coming to the Headache Institute, her headaches were a mixture of daily headaches, averaging five on a zero to ten scale, with a pounding quality on both sides and the top of her head. These headaches were accompanied by severe nausea. She found lasting help for her problem at the Headache Institute of Texas.

ACTIVE RETIREE DELIGHTED TO ENJOY HEADACHE-FREE DAYS
In addition to daily headaches, Murray M. also had problems with daily neck pain, ringing in her ears, jaw tightness, tooth clenching and dizziness. In addition, she experienced tunnel vision, which concerned her quite a bit. Murray expressed frustration that she had seen so many different and varied health care practitioners over a four-year period in an attempt to resolve the many manifestations of her head and facial pain problem. It turns out that they all stemmed from one, easily fixable source: her neck. She is now happy that nearly every day is headache-free and only regrets that she did not visit the Headache Institute of Texas sooner.

NEARLY ZERO HEADACHES AFTER TWENTY YEARS OF MIGRAINES, PAIN, AND MEDICATION
Theresa A. joins the countless others who have discovered that their headache and migraine symptoms, as well as related symptoms, could be eliminated through treatment of their neck. She remembers having headaches as early as age ten, which became more frequent and more severe during her twenties. Sinus surgery and treatment of her allergies failed to provide consistent headache relief. She had a history of experiencing light and sound sensitivity, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. Her headaches were occasionally preceded by an aura, including a bad taste in her mouth and a sensation in her head and sinuses described as a sensation similar to being under water. She finally found relief at the Headache Institute of Texas, in San Antonio.

Her headaches were accompanied by light and sound sensitivity, lightheadedness, sweating for no apparent reason, worsening of heartburn, nausea and vomiting. HOMEMAKER EXPERIENCES RELIEF FROM CHRONIC PAIN AND NO LONGER NEEDS ARRAY OF PAIN MEDICATION
Joy C., a homemaker, has had sick headaches since she was 15 years of age. Her headaches gradually increased in frequency and severity. The pain could be on one or both sides of her head, throbbing in quality, starting in her occipital area and extending across her whole head, forehead, behind her eyes, through her cheeks and into her teeth. Once per week, the head pain climbed to an extremely high intensity and was accompanied by light and sound sensitivity, nausea and vomiting. She frequently had a visual aura preceding her headaches. When first seen at the Headache Institute of Texas, in San Antonio, she was having daily headaches, averaging a six on a zero to ten scale and a ten pain level once per week (with associated migraine symptoms, as described). In addition to daily headaches (despite being on medication), she had daily neck, upper back, and shoulder blade pain. She also had daily ear pain, ear ringing, and jaw pain. She was dizzy twice per week. Following successful treatment, Joy hasn’t taken any medication over the past four to five months and is thrilled to “have her life back.”

TRIGEMINAL NEURALGIA PATIENT DISCOVERS NATURAL CURE
Bethany W. joins others who have discovered that their trigeminal neuralgia symptoms can be markedly reduced or eliminated through treatment of the neck. In her teens, Bethany developed bad headaches, accompanied with dizziness that was so severe that she would fall repeatedly. These headaches were accompanied also by light and sound sensitivity. Her original headaches were primarily in her forehead, behind her eyes and in her cheeks. In 2004, her headaches changed to left-sided tooth and facial pain, averaging a 8/10 pain level, spiking up to emergency-room level. When she was first seen at this clinic, she also reported constant light and sound sensitivity, as well as constant ringing in her ears and left facial numbness. She was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia, and in April 2008 underwent trigeminal microvascular decompression surgery, which was unsuccessful. On initial evaluation at the Headache Institute of Texas, she was having left-sided facial pain on a daily basis (worse if she talked a lot), and approximately six episodes per day lasting from a few minutes to hours. She was also having her original migraine headaches two to three times per week. She achieved her successful outcome at the Headache Institute of Texas, in San Antonio. We have found clinically that nearly all trigeminal neuralgia patients have a fixable lower neck problem (discogenic), responding to very conservative methods of treatment.

They were on one side of her head, achy, stabbing, or burning in quality, starting on the left back side of her head and shooting through to the left side of her head, with occasional tinnitus (ear ringing).
